2022.01.20 08:27 Stacy4691 Trying to reset my password and it feels like I’m going in circles.
I deleted and reinstalled the app because I noticed a couple of bugs but I forgot to take note of my password and I can’t reset it. I keep getting “unrecognised device” and “this email isn’t registered” even though it is.
I’ve contacted tiktok support but they keep sending the same “please provide info” emails. I can’t find my account via “account recovery” but if I look it up in search, it’s there.
What else can I do?

Sometimes I think about dying a lot, and it comes with a chilling numbness to it, it almost frightens me. But I would never commit to it: too scared of death, too much of a doormat to see anyone that actually cares be affected by it. I wished I could just... exist mindlessly, like a plant.

2022.01.20 08:27 wildgoose78 I'm a junior DevOps and I'm suffering from anxiety and not in a good place right now...
As part of my college degree I started to intern in a company in March of 2021, I was going to do what I've not had the opportunity to do in my entire degree: DevOps. Initially I designed pipelines in GitLab and started working with Docker, I was improving the development process in the company. Everything went great, I managed to finish my internship with a really good grade, I was enjoying myself and what I was doing.
Then I started working in the same company and I started to get more responsibilities such as managing production environments, deployment processes for big projects, setting up new environments, monitoring them and doing almost everything a DevOps and a SysOps guy does.
Everything started to pile up, I found myself getting contacted by every single developer in the company because I was the only one managing everything, they would ask me for accesses, how to deploy, how to create new branches for features and obviously I had to help them because if they destroyed a production environment the fault was on me. I tried to document and explain everything as best as I could, even go talk to them and teach them Docker and stuff so they could develop easier.
Then there was this idea to migrate to Kubernetes. Our current applications are monoliths, they do not cope well with Kubernetes and I did not know a thing about Kubernetes at the time, I knew what it was and what it was used for but not how to set it up and use it properly. I started learning while doing everything else.
We have deadlines to put production environments on the cloud and I was creating a custom solution for AWS with Kubernetes, not EKS but something extremelly customized, I was never sure that was the best way but I recognized that EKS had costs that not many clients could afford. The deadlines came and my solution was not ready, I never felt like it was, I am sailing alone in the big sea of K8s and AWS, and now I am feeling the pressure.
It is getting to me really hard, my superiors (boss) are getting angry because I can't compromise for a go-live, I do not have a proper solution ready with proper error management of the cluster and I am starting to feel the anxiety pilling up. I am also taking a master's degree during the night, or at least trying.
I literally dream of stuff I can do to finish what I am doing, I wake up at night because I can't sleep because I keep thinking on everything I need to manage at the same time, I know every single project going on because I need to know them all since I am in charge of their environments and I need to be since we work on multiple projects at the same time.
I don't have many friends, I haven't talked with anyone in a long time to be honest, I don't have much time since I also work on weekends. and long hours after work trying to manage everything. I'm not asking anyone to be pitty for me, I'm not, I'm just recognizing to myself and to anyone that reads this that I'm close to a breaking point and I don't know if I can do anything.
I fell in love with DevOps and I have many ideas but I got stuck for so long trying to create something, trying to manage everything I was thrown that I don't know what I am doing anymore and this does not feel right.
Thank you all, stay safe guys and good work to everybody!

2022.01.20 08:27 shpdg48 Politics, Not Science? CDC Takes Radical U-Turn on Pandemic Narrative
In recent days, the pandemic narrative has undergone a remarkable number of U-turns, including the admission by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky that COVID shots cannot prevent transmission.submitted by shpdg48 to VaccineMandates [link] [comments]
Jan. 10 Walensky admitted that the COVID shots cannot prevent transmission.
The CDC is now saying you should not retest once you’ve recovered from COVID, as the PCR can provide false positives for up to 12 weeks after the infection has been resolved. They’re also cutting the isolation requirement from 10 to just five days — probably because the failing economy is hurting Biden’s approval rating so they need people to work.
Indeed, in recent days, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has made a remarkable number of U-turns, completely reversing course on several narrative points.
For example, in a Jan. 10 CNN interview, CDC director Dr. Rochelle Walensky actually admitted that “what [the COVID shots] can’t do anymore is prevent transmission,” whereas before, the narrative was that if you get the jab, you have nothing to worry about anymore.
One simple way to cut down cases is to limit testing — and that’s another U-turn we’re now seeing. The CDC is now saying you should not retest once you’ve recovered from COVID. If you test positive, just quarantine for five days and don’t retest to confirm that you’re negative, as the PCR can provide false positives for up to 12 weeks after the infection has been resolved.
Well, we’ve known this for nearly two years already. From the start, experts warned that the PCR cannot be used to diagnose an active infection, as it can pick up RNA from dead, noninfectious viral debris.
OneAmerica, a national mutual life insurance company, recently warned that all-cause deaths among working-age Americans (18 to 64) are up 40% over prepandemic norms, and they cannot be attributed to COVID.
So, what’s causing these deaths? What potentially deadly thing did tens of millions of Americans do in 2021 that they’ve never done before? I’ll let you ponder whether Walensky’s claim that the COVID jab is saving lives is an accurate one.
In another recent media appearance, Walensky stated:
“In some hospitals that we’ve talked to, up to 40% of the patients who are coming in with COVID-19 are coming in not because they’re sick with COVID, but because they’re coming in with something else and have had … COVID or the Omicron variant detected.”
This, again, is something that we’ve been highlighting since the start of the pandemic. Most so-called “COVID patients” simply weren’t and still aren’t. They’re hospitalized for something else entirely and just happen to get a positive test result upon admission — which very possibly is a false positive. Either way, voila, they’re a COVID patient, even though they’re hospitalized for a broken leg or a heart attack.
In short, I suspect most if not all of the recent changes in COVID guidance is to build a narrative that the Biden administration has successfully brought the pandemic under control and reestablished a working economy. The change in narrative is based on political strategy, not science.
